Dorothea Collins
I am a fiber/mixed media artist living in Lacey, WA. Fiber, whether unspun, spun, woven, knitted, felted, painted, or a woven canvas has been the “red thread” of my life since I learnt to knit from my grandma when I was a little girl. I think of art as a joyous act of daily making with my hands and my heart. Whether I knit a scarf, or felt a small sculptural object, or paint on fabric or canvas - all are expressions of my creative spirit.
