This painting is from my "Mushrooms and Moths" series.. I saw a mushroom like this in person only once, I couldn't believe it was real. After doing some research I becoame inspired by the variety and and beauty of the strange fungi and had to paint them. I love the little white "cape" and the simple beauty of nature in my little Red Cap Wonder.
