Colleen has a master’s degree with emphasis on Costume and Set Design and has been in the design field in one form or another for over 45 years. She worked as a costumer for community and semiprofessional theater and had her own costume shop. Working for furniture stores, interior design firms and builders, she participated in Street of Dreams type shows and won several awards.
After retiring 9 years ago, Colleen returned to sewing which she had learned in 4H when she was 9 years old. Combining her love of textiles and her design background was a natural. She had already done soft sculpture and trapunto with a hobby business called Soft Things. Now her bags, purses and hats are one of a kind.
Over the last 4 years, she has branched out and because of her costuming, she became
interested in creating masks from leather to be wall art or used for cosplay or masquerade.
